I have problems connecting to the INTERNET.
When my PC dials out. It dials out the number when the sever answer i lose my connection Its not my Internet service provider. It not the ISP (My laptop connect without any trouble Am using my laptop as i post this)
Here what i Have done already!

unistalled my AOL software 

Unstalled my AOL networking files

My PC Networking Files

Then i reinstalled my AOL and all AOL Networking Files
My Windows Networking Files.
And still can not dial out to the ISP

Does anyone out there know what is happening or Had this Problem before? Can tell me what the problem is?
If anyone can help or tell me what i can do?
I would be very thankful!

i recommend getting a broadband card for you laptop such as sprint or cingular

The problem is not with my laptop it with my regular home PC

I'm not sure what you mean...are you saying your laptop is not portable?  Or you mean your laptop is your desktop?

I am having trouble with My desk top Pc someone got me an 80 Gig hard drive for Christmas and i been having lots of problems with it The transfered everything for the old one to the new one.The software of the of my Internet provider does detect the modem when it dials out it quits before the sever answers my modem It not AOL its my Pc I can get out all right with my laptop

You probably need to look at reformatting your computer in order to get the connections correct, or invest in DSL or Cable modem

Sorry I got hung up on your first post that said laptop and not desktop

Well I got that problem solved and fixed and i got a new PC!
And my Laptop is down! I got hit with lots of Trojan Horses And i need to renstall windows 98 SE

Glad to report that the Laptop has made a great Recovery! Have Windows 98 SE reinstalled and the Dialing problem taken care of! I replaced the networking files. The Laptop and the Owner doing great!
